What We Do
Members of Action MS and Southern Area Hospice, Newry receiving their cheques from the Armagh Tigers
Armagh Tigers Charitable Trust (ATCT) was set up in 2008 by a group of Armagh business people with a long history of fund-raising for local charities.
Their first fund-raising event was entry in the inaugural Scally Rally Ireland in early September 2008, which they won in their 1982 Mark 5 Cortina Crusader. The first prize of £1,000 was donated to Action MS Northern Ireland.
This was followed later that month by a very popular barbeque and auction hosted by Adrian Logan of UTV and the fabulous May McFettridge. The barbeque proved a huge success allowing the Tigers to donate a further £3,500 to Action MS and £14,500 to the Southern Area Hospice, Newry.
Many more events and fundraising efforts have followed in the Tigers six year history. Just some of the other events the Tigers have ran or been associated with since can be found in our ‘Events Archive’ section but they include :
- Fundraising Barbeques
- Golf Classics
- A Big Night Out with The Bards
- ‘The Gathering For Africa’ event
- Take Me Out Armagh
- Tour Of The Orchard County 2012 & 2013 & 2014
- GOAL Tournament 2013 part sponsorship
- ‘Farmer Joe & his John Deere Tractor’ Play
