For over three decades the name Bertie Fisher was synonymous with irish motorsport and reigned supreme over the local and international rally scene. A four time Irish tarmac champion, Fisher was best known for his 20 international victories and was a three-time winner of the Circuit of Ireland rally, as well as a multiple winner at the Rally of the Lakes in Killarney and the Ulster Rally. 

A new book celebrating the life and career of Irish rally legend Bertie Fisher has been published, containing hundreds of photographs and stories from throughout the Ballinamallard driver’s outstanding 30+ year career. Bertie Fisher, a household name had an undeniably legendary status in Irish sport at home and abroad.

Titled ‘King Fisher- the story of rally legend Bertie Fisher’ the book was written and compiled by rally enthusiast and photographer Fergus McAnallen with support from the Fisher family and the Armagh Tigers Committee, who work on a voluntary basis to raise funds and support a number of local charities.

The book, featuring hundreds of colour photos and documents, will include detailed research and indepth interviews with major people involved in Bertie Fisher’s rally career spanning over 30+ years.

This project is promoted by The Armagh Tigers Charitable Trust (A.T.C.T) and written by A.T.C.T. member Fergus McAnallen.

The Trust’s Chairman Kieran McAnallen, a long time Sponsor and Associate of the Fisher family and rally dynasty, is fulfilling a personal tribute to his close friends Bertie, Mark and Emma in the publication of this book.

The “coffee table” book, featuring hundreds of colour photos and documents, will include detailed research and indepth interviews with major people involved in Bertie Fisher’s rally career spanning over 30+ years.
